‘Til Voices Rise

 

I know a light that speaks to me

Of living life in harmony

It emanates within my soul

It carries me when I’m not whole

 

It holds the secrets of each star

The routes between the near and far

Provides the means to temper fear

And strength to cope with all unclear

 

It brings the patience to endure

When I am shaken and unsure

Reminds me of the heavy cost

Of allowing life to drag me lost

 

It’s the only faith that I can claim

It knows my heart and calls my name

Lifts me uphill and brakes down slope

It cradles me with love and hope

 

I share this voice from deep inside

Where once my silence did abide

To seek the ones who want to see

The parts of them that live in me

 

I’ll wear the losses, bear the pain

Walk on for miles in driving rain

Guided through the darkest night

‘Til voices rise from silent light
