Do you dream of a somehow

That sets your heart free

Can you peel away the past

And just let yourself be

Can your toes feel the sand

Or do they hobble on stones

Can you feel me inside you

While I sleep in your bones

 

Are things right in your world

Or are you craving much more

Do you stare out your window

With the lock on your door

Does your heart long for filling

Or do you stifle its moans

Can you feel me turn over

While I sleep in your bones

 

Is there one greater meaning

That overrides all the rest

Can you climb over your walls

And bare the truth in your chest

Do you settle for handshakes

From the drones and the clones

Will your eyes never open

While I sleep in your bones

 

Is the waiting and wanting

A Ferris wheel ride with no end

Will the love that you crave

Let you be your best friend

Can numbing words fill the void

Over cold dinners and phones

Will you wake up from yourself

While I sleep in your bones
