In Memory

 

We celebrate each new spark lit

Love guides it on its flight

To weave into the hearth of life

A strand of universal light

 

From inception to departure

It touched all it came across

The joys and tears of moments passed

Refill the hollows left from loss

 

The weight of sadness crushes down

When light extinguished leaves us blind

Until we're lifted by the living glow

Of all the love still left behind

 

Our sight restored through memories

Carried with us through each mile

 To comfort us in time of grief

And light the way back with a smile
